What is Astrology?

Astrology is a powerful tool for self-awareness, self-improvement and self-understanding. A personalized astrology chart is a snap shot of what the sky looked like when you were born. The chart is calculated using your full birth date, exact time of birth and location. Astrology is based on mathematics and has been used for thousands of years.

The fact that someone was born in April and is an Aries only means that is where the sun was when they were born. The sun is very important in astrology, however there are so many more details. That is why it is very difficult to cast one horoscope that fits everyone in each sun sign and why many people find astrology columns in newspapers to be inaccurate. A natal chart utilizes all of these details to give you an accurate and detailed view of what is going on in your life.

In personalized astrology, all the planets are taken into account and all have meaning; the sun, the moon, mercury, venus, mars, jupiter, saturn, uranus, neptune and pluto. For example, the sun represents what is the most important to you, the moon represents your emotional state, venus represents your love life and jupiter represents where you have good luck.

An astrological chart looks like a wheel that is divided into 12 pieces, called houses and each of these houses represents a different part of your life. Where the 10 planets fall in these 12 houses, the signs they are in and the mathematical relationship between the planets all combine together to create a precise picture of your individual life path and shows your strengthens, weaknesses and lessons that you came here to learn.

What are the different types of readings a person can get?

There are 3 types of readings.

The first is a natal chart reading. This type of reading gives an overall picture of your life path. It goes through where all of the planets were at the time of your birth. It points out your strengths and weaknesses which can help you make decisions about what activities and interests to pursue or avoid. It also points out the lessons that you came here to learn which can help you gain a higher level of personal and spiritual growth.

The second type of reading is a transit reading. This type of reading is a predictive reading and lets you know what energy is available to you and what areas of your life will have activity. The law of attraction states that we create our own reality and a transit reading also points out planetary transits and time periods that can make manifestation much more easier in different areas of your life. This is an update of your natal chart and compares your natal chart to where planets presently are now and 12 months into the future. The planets are constantly moving in the sky and when they hit different points in your natal chart they trigger different events, experiences and emotions. This information can help you to know when to move forward in different areas of your life such as relationships, career and health.

A synasty reading is a comparison of two astrological charts and points out strengths and weaknesses in a relationship. This can help to improve the relationship, improve communication, and decide if you want to continue relationship or take it to the next level.

What are reasons why someone would go to an astrologer?

• You want to gain a better understanding of your life path, why you are here, your strengths, your weaknesses, the lessons you came here to learn and what is possible for you.
• You have been going through a difficult period and want to gain an understanding of what is going on, what you can do to get through it and when it will end.
• You have a recurring problem and pattern in your life and want to get clear on why it keeps happening and what you can do differently.
• You are in the wrong career and want to find your life purpose. Hypnotherapy is also recommended for this as it can also help you gain clarity.
• You are having a difficult relationship with someone and want to know how you can better deal with them.
• You want to get clarity on what went wrong in a past relationship(s) or marriage.
• You went through something traumatic in the past and want to gain an understanding about it.
